Shinichi Fukae tournament boat crashed into a concrete pillar of the Ned McWherter Bridge at Paris Landing State Park.

The cameraman, Robert Gulley of Tupelo, Miss., was seriously injured. He is suffering what appeared to be broken ribs, and cuts and bruises on his face, according the wildlife officer with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.

Gulley was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville Sunday. He was listed in stable condition Monday afternoon, according to a hospital spokesman.

Driving the boat was Bass Fishing Pro Shinichi Fukae, from Palestine, Texas, who was taking part in the four-day FLW Outdoors event during the weekend at Kentucky Lake.

Fukae suffered a cut and bruising on his forehead and had to have six stitches.
